Concrete crushing and recycling is, increasingly, the universal industry method of re-using rubble when structures made of concrete are demolished or renovated.

Concrete crushing takes place on-site using portable crushers, with key benefits:

  • Time and Cost-efficient
  • Reduces need to purchase aggregate
  • Reduced manpower
  • Reduces environmental impact of haulage emissions

CrushingConcrete crushing can be generally more acceptable for continued use within public areas and anyone in close proximity to the demolition works, due to:

  • Less vibration
  • Lack of repetitive noise

DHD concrete crushing equipment is capable of handling the smallest to the largest construction sites or quarries. The use of demolition machinery with crusher attachments has also seen the growth of a demand for recycling smaller volumes of concrete on more modest demolition projects.

Exact client requirements

Our experienced and trained machine operators can precisely process concrete and brick demolition material to exact client requirements for stockpiling, such as primary and secondary aggregates, backfilling and compacting.

Concrete processing plant

In addition to on-site crushing, DHD operate our own Waste Transfer Station where we produce:

  • Crushed concrete
  • Brick hardcore to 6F2 ( 75mm and below) – a general ‘filling aggregate’, ‘quarry waste’, or ‘general hardcore’ for bulk fill.
  • Clean brick hardcore
  • Topsoil

The DHD team understand the client’s need for:

  • A fast, efficient process
  • Crushing completed to exact requirements

Our duty of care and compliance with strict industry regulations ensures that each and every crushing operation is successfully completed to the highest standards of environmental safety.
