Buried pipe and cable detection
DHD operate modern industry tools for buried pipe and cable detection, which can be used as standalone or in tandem with units designed to detect smaller, weaker signal cables.
Depth and location cannot always be accurately determined by simply referring to drawing and mapping information. Service drawings on structures more than 25 years old are likely to be outdated. To positively verify the exact physical location of service supply cables will almost always require manual exploration and trial holes along the presumed route.
Temporary service cut-offs
Where temporary service isolation is required only during renovation projections, DHD will ensure:
- Distribution boxes or valve housing are protected from damage or contact throughout the duration of works.
- A safe system of work and procedure is written in advance, including risk assessment, safety protection and monitoring.
